Washington is famous for its ocean beaches, glacier-fed rivers, alpine lakes, old-growth rainforests, wildlife sanctuaries, waterfalls, deep-cut gorges and majestic mountains. The Cascade Range, with Mount Rainier National Park and the Olympic Mountain range, which dominates the Olympic pennensula.


There is a diverse ecology in Washington, includes desert landscapes of sage and bunchgrass, beautiful Ponderosa pine forests, the islands of the Puget and many other great attractions, like the Mt. Baker Scenic Highway or the Dungeness National Wildlife Rescue.


 Washington is home to the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, which dramatically blew its top on May 18, 1980, losing 1,300 feet of elevation, flattening hundreds of acres of forest and burying Spirit Lake as well.




The State of Washington has Hood Canal, the Hoh Rain Forest, Commencement Bay (at Tacoma). There is such beauty in this state. If Washington is not your home, consider moving here!
